The Connected Innovation project provides strategic connectivity between innovation hubs and clusters, with a focus on cross-sector innovation, business support and addressing key agendas such as clean growth across Suffolk and Norfolk. The Connected Innovation network links together 26 of Norfolk and Suffolk’s leading innovation, science, and research hubs into one of the UK’s most collaborative regional innovation clusters. The network, launched in 2021, encompasses a number of technology capabilities such as AI, robotics, 5G connectivity, digital ICT, fintech, gaming, environmental and marine science, health tech and life science to drive innovation-led economic growth in key sectors including agri-food, health, offshore renewables, manufacturing and engineering and financial services.

Space East is the UK’s newest space cluster and brings together leaders from across industry, research and Government in the East of England to develop and champion exciting new opportunities in space technology. The applications of space and satellite technologies stretch across the region’s leading industries including food and agriculture, offshore wind, coastal and marine science, health and social care, and transport and logistics. Combined with existing technology strengths and innovation assets including Adastral Park, Norwich Research Park, Hethel Innovation, OrbisEnergy, CEFAS, University of East Anglia, University of Suffolk, the opportunities for organisations to join our determined growth in the space sector are infinite.
