Wellbeing Champion Training provides an opportunity to increase your understanding of mental health, and tips to discuss it positively.

Wellbeing Champions care about where they live and work and understand the importance of talking about mental health and well-being. This training is for anyone, but especially useful for organisations such as schools, businesses, charitable or community organisations.

The training is 1 to 1½ hours long with a break, and offers basic education about mental health, why people may struggle and signs you may notice when someone is having a hard time. You will also learn how you might approach someone and start a conversation.

Finally, you will learn about the Norfolk & Waveney NHS Talking Therapies Service and how we can offer support so you can effectively signpost. You will receive a PDF booklet and information document afterwards covering content from the training, including information about us and other local services, as well as some resources to use in your workplace, business or other community setting.

If you would like to improve your understanding of mental health and create a supportive and mental health positive environment in your communities, becoming a Wellbeing Champion may be for you.
