How Can We Stop 'Catching' Each Other's Emotions During Meltdowns?

All families experience times of high emotions with perhaps erratic or unwelcome accompanying behaviour. For families with children or young people with additional needs or communication difficulties, this may be heightened.

This workshop is for all families. It aims to uncover ways to identify sources/causes of high emotions and share a variety of practical tips and tools for both your mind and your body to come through these challenging times feeling more in control, slightly less drained and more optimistic about future events.

Age recommendation:

This workshop is particularly suitable for neurodivergent young people and their parents / carers.

The session is also relevant to anyone looking to learn more about neurodivergence and any interested families (we all have difficult emotions and experience social conflict at times).

Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Nicci Rossini

Nicci Rossini, Founder of Little Spark Learning, is a learning games designer and former primary teacher and importantly, a parent to three children, one with additional needs. Nicci knows how vital it is for children to feel understood, especially when they face adversity, in its many forms.

"I care deeply about helping children form strong, healthy relationships—because friendships matter. That’s why I create games that help kids build social skills in fun, gentle ways. These skills shape how they connect with others now and in the future"

Nicci Rossini

All Nicci's work is inspired by real-life experience and a belief that every child deserves to feel confident, included and heard.
